An Entrepreneurial Spirit, Born Early
Justina Quek’s entrepreneurial journey began long before Lumiere International was established. Raised in a business-oriented family, she was introduced to entrepreneurship at the age of five, assisting in her father’s towel manufacturing business. These early experiences cultivated discipline, resilience, and a deep understanding that success is built through consistency and courage.

Even while pursuing her education, Justina demonstrated a keen interest in developing her personal and professional skills, laying the foundation for her future ventures.
Creativity Meets Business Acumen
Driven by a strong creative instinct, Justina pursued her artistic education at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. At just 19 years old, she began her professional career as a graphic designer. Her talent, leadership, and strategic thinking saw her rise swiftly to the role of Graphics Director.
In 2000, fuelled by her entrepreneurial ambition, she founded Graphica Art Studio—her first business venture. This chapter refined her strengths in branding, visual identity, and storytelling, skills that would later become central to the success of Lumiere International.
The Birth of Lumiere International
In 2002, Justina entered the beauty and wellness industry with the founding of Lumiere International. The brand’s first outlet opened in Duxton, Singapore, and quickly gained recognition for its refined aesthetics, professional standards, and holistic approach to beauty.
Over the next five years, Lumiere International expanded across Singapore, establishing outlets in Orchard, Novena, Katong, and West Coast. The brand soon became a trusted and sought-after name in the industry.

Redefining Beauty Through Pageantry
Justina’s belief that beauty should be celebrated with substance led her naturally into pageantry. In 2009, Lumiere International was invited to co-present Miss Singapore World International, followed by appointments as main sponsor and presenter for prestigious national titles including Miss Singapore World, Miss Singapore Universe, Miss Singapore Earth, Mrs Singapore World, Mrs Singapore Globe, and Mrs Singapore Universe.
These milestones marked a turning point—positioning Lumiere International as a key force bridging beauty, branding, and pageantry.
In 2012, Justina organised and hosted Miss Bikini International, followed by the creation of her own signature pageant titles, including Mrs Queen of Substance and Asia Pacific Queen of Substance. Each platform was designed to honour confidence, intelligence, resilience, and purpose—not just outward beauty.
A Global Platform for Empowerment
Justina’s vision soon expanded beyond national borders. In 2016, she launched her first national Lumiere pageants, and in 2017, unveiled Singapore’s first international pageantry platform, welcoming participants from more than 30 countries through Mrs Worldwide and Miss Lumiere International World.
Despite global challenges during the pandemic years, her momentum did not slow. Between 2019 and 2021, Lumiere International launched multiple international titles and initiatives, including Mrs Global Universe, Mrs Asia Pacific, Miss Tourism Worldwide, Miss Global Universe, Mrs World Peace, and Lumiere Wellness.

Today, Lumiere International has empowered over a thousand women across more than 50 countries, fostering a global community united by leadership, purpose, and empowerment.
Innovation Rooted in Excellence
Beyond pageantry, Justina’s pursuit of excellence led her into beauty innovation. Through collaboration with a French skincare laboratory in Brittany, she created Luminastem—a luxurious skincare line developed with advanced science and premium marine ingredients. Each formulation reflects her belief that true luxury lies in quality, integrity, and transformation.
The Woman Behind the Vision
Behind the global platforms and international titles stands a woman defined by resilience. Justina believes deeply in perseverance—choosing growth over limitation and transformation over adversity.
When faced with environments she could not change, she chose instead to change her response, turning challenges into defining moments of strength.
